In the busyness of life, we sometimes feel lost and worried. As followers of God, we have a practical guide: the Bible. It is not just a religious book full of ancient stories; it is a daily source of wisdom. Through the Bible, God speaks to us.
“The Lord is good, a refuge in the day of distress; He cares for those who trust in Him.”
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
In life, we often face challenges, accomplishments, and moments of great joy. In the midst of it all, it’s important to remember that the glory is not ours—it belongs to God. He is the author of all things and deserves all honor and praise.
The Word of God is the light that dispels the darkness of doubt and fear, guiding us toward hope and security. Psalm 119:105 says:
I will bless the LORD at all times;
Hearing this, Jesus said to him, “Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
Verse: Walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7 NIV REFLECTION: If we ever struggle to be thankful, it is often because we have lost sight of what we have. We can also become overly preoccupied with wanting more. Paul writes that he is always thankful. If we reflect on this and on the life he lived, it should awaken a sense of awe in us. How could he be thankful in everything and at all times? He dealt with great suffering and mistreatment. He was beaten, slandered, and despised for the sake of Jesus Christ, yet he was still thankful. How? Paul kept his eyes fixed on Jesus and his eyes firmly fixed on His resurrection. He knew that his momentary afflictions were just that: momentary. He needed nothing more, nor did he lack anything else. His contentment lay in knowing that a great reward awaited him. He had confidence that Jesus would take care of him in the future.
